No One Recovers Alone
Recovery from substance abuse, or returning to society after incarceration, is challenging. Too many give up and return to what they know. Society tends to focus on helping the addicts and inmates, and that is a cause worth pursuing.
However, we often overlook the plight of their children and family members, who suffer greatly as a result of the choices their loved ones have made. They are teased, bullied, rejected, and abandoned, when they are not being ignored and forgotten. With nowhere to turn, they are left alone to deal with their pain, anger, depression, and powerlessness.
Recognizing that recovery is not just about the individual, but the whole family, is just the first step to a holistic approach. By taking ownership of your personal recovery and recognizing how your parents, children, your children's guardians, and friends have been affected; is the best chance to get out and stay out.
Christian Formation Ministries serves by offering opportunities for the whole family. Reaching out to each individual who wants to take part and then creating a custom recovery support for each and every person.
Jesus never said, "Get up and Limp!", He heals us completely. Complete recovery is possible, and we want to show you the way.
