Welcome to Girls Week
Camp Kerith is a summer camp for the children of prisoners, children affected by a loved one's substance addiction, or children experiencing high levels of trauma. Camp Kerith offers a program designed around their specialized needs.
The powerful, positive impact of a one-week camping experience cannot be discounted. It is a life-changing experience. |
Summer camps for kids ages 5 to 18 are uniquely designed for at-risk children and youth. Children can be kids as they participate in swimming, horseback riding, archery, games, and arts and crafts, but summer camps provide much more. Children learn they are not the only ones with a parent in prison, and they interact with staff who had similar experiences growing up. In addition to all the fun activities, some classes provide children with tools to make healthy choices, process grief, and realize their values and dreams. Children learn life skills, including conflict resolution and anger management, and have opportunities to increase their social and emotional development by participating in group activities, birthday parties, themed adventures, and more.

Full Scholarship vs Partial Scholarship
Camp Kerith strives to make camp available to the children in our community who are often overlooked and in need of prevention support. To this goal, Kerith works to assure no family pays the full cost of the camp program. Because of the specialized program that allows children to talk about difficult situations in their lives, each application is by review and upon acceptance, will communicate whether the camper has been accepted, and if they are to receive a full or partial scholarship.
Full scholarships are made available to all campers who qualify under the following:
