We believe so. While traditional recovery programs focus on the individual and their feelings of powerlessness, Christian Formation Ministries serves the whole family, empowering everyone affected by the incarceration and the addiction. Our programs help form new mindsets, life skills, and family awareness to support permanent change. No matter if you are a part of our adult mentoring, our children's camp or after school clubs, or our family support groups; no one is left powerless because...
One: You Are Not Powerless!
Your life may be chaotic, but only you have the power to decide to overcome your addictive and self-destructive behaviors.
If you ask, God will empower, guide, and strengthen you; but the power of choice is always yours alone.

Two: We Will Not Tell You What To Do.
My Recovery, My Family, My Club and our Community Chaplain Community exists to support you, and empower you to make your own choices.
We do not judge, blame, or dictate.
Instead, we ask:
We do not judge, blame, or dictate.
Instead, we ask:
- “Have you thought about…?”
- “What do you think God is saying to you?”
- And very importantly: “What do you want to do?"
Three: No One Recovers Alone.
Recovery should not be centered on the addict alone.
Since family, friends, and the community are all affected by the addict’s attitudes and behavior, all need to recover.
Recovery works best when we recover together.

Four: Relapse Doesn’t Mean We Start Over.
Whether days, weeks, or years, the time we remained abstinent, clean, and sober still counts. It is a foundation of success we can build on.
All experience is useful if we learn from it.
Relapse reveals areas where we need further growth and healing.

Five: Permanent freedom from addiction is not only possible; it is God’s desire.
God works in us to bring about spiritual rebirth, cognitive regeneration, the healing of our souls, and the development of mature spiritual fruit.
Six: True Freedom Begins With Christ.
True, lasting freedom begins, when we accept Jesus' offer of friendship.
As the fruit of genuine love becomes more evident in us, we leave immaturity behind, become the person we were born to be, and live the life we were born to live.
We uncover the gifts God has given us, and use them for the benefit of others.
