My Club Mentors
The main role of a My Club Mentor is to play in a group and in individual spaces, be an attentive listener, speak encouraging words, be able to lead a small group discussion for 15-20 minutes, support the Lead Mentor in group activities, clean up, bring to attention all concerns to My Club Leaders, and able to take part in special events created by the My Club team. A once a week, two-hour commitment with opportunities to interact with My Club members out of designated Club Time. My Club runs during the school calendar and takes appropriate breaks. Recommended commitment at least 8-10 months.
My Club is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to make a real difference in the lives considered most affected by incarceration and addiction. My Club meets once a week for group actives and mentoring. My Club mentors are also encouraged to meet one a week after school with Members of My Club for one-on-one time.

Recommendations to be a My Club Mentor:
- Able to past a background check
- A 12 week to one year commitment
- Attend weekly group meetings, usually running 5:30-8:00 pm
- Set aside one afternoon or evening with mentee at a approved location by the CFM team or My Club members family
- Participate in club organized field trips and group outings
- Attend regularly scheduled training, brainstorming, and mutual support meetings.
My Club Leaders
This person is the one who leads the emotional and spiritual support of the program.
Lead mentors are the ones who set the tone of what the culture and the space of a My Club are like. They will be leading the main lesson and talk time of the group before the teams separate for group discussion. Lead Mentors are also the ones responsible for interacting with the parents of the My Club Members when situations or concerns arise. Lead Mentors are encouraged to go through the Christian Formation Chaplaincy program, to further support the ins and outs of the unique needs of the program. My Club runs during the school calendar and takes appropriate breaks. Recommended commitment at least 8-10 months with a recommended Leadership commitment of 2 years.

- Pass a background check
- Willingness to go through SEL and ACE's Training
- Must be able to lead and support 6-8 additional volunteers
- Communicate to Director when issues or concerns arises
- Lead meeting lasting about 2 hours with possible 1+ set up and teardown times
- Organize and lead field trips and special events
Meal Support Volunteers
Having a meal during the program gives My Club Members a chance to bond with Mentors through a family activity, eating dinner. Coordinating the weekly meals can be a big job and may require up to 3-4 hours of focus on a weekly basis, if including shopping, prepping, cooking on or off-site, and cleaning up.
Being the Meal Director may also be a great place of mentoring opportunities since so many young people love to cook and it is a way to encourage life skills and bonding through a daily life practice. The Meal Director may also choose to arrange a catered meal. My Club runs during the school calendar and takes appropriate breaks. Recommended commitment at least 8-10 months with a recommended Leadership commitment of 2 years. |
Community Partners Program
Whether you are a professional in business or have a hobby you are passionate about; we want to help spread your skills. Our Community Partners are individuals who work with or in areas of interest and love to teach important life skills. Community Partners are encouraged to work with the My Club Mentors to build an event(s) around the topic of interest. A Community Partner can choose to do a one-night 45-minute program or create a multi-part series.

Leadership Mentors
Help us Mentor our Leadership Campers. Leadership Club is a once-a-month Saturday afternoon to the evening program, supporting healthy growth for My Club Members who have gone through the Leadership Camp Program of My Camp and/or have been a part of My Club for multiple years. My Club runs during the school calendar and takes appropriate breaks. Leadership Club includes one hour of free time, lunch or snack, community conversation and special activities.
