Our History
Bishop Richard H. and Reverend Dawn Marie Johnson have been engaged in full-time ministry throughout the United States and Canada since 1994.
For almost ten of those years, Richard, Dawn, and their kids lived full-time in a fifth-wheel trailer in church parking lots all over North America.
By the time they came off the road in 2005, they had ministered in thirty-eight states and four Canadian provinces, comforting and encouraging hurting people in prisons, jails, juvenile detention centers, residential re-entry programs, churches, home fellowships, and many other venues.
In January of 2005, Richard and Dawn started Christian Formation Ministries, Inc. (CFM), in New Albany, Indiana.

Today, Christian Formation Ministries has expanded to a multi-program organization, focusing on families in recovery. From the individual, to the child, to the parent; everyone needs the chance to heal.
