Host Moms/Host Dads
Working alongside My Club and My Recovery programs, Host Moms and Host Dads hang out with the parents and guardians of our My Club Members while the program is happening. The goal of My Family is mainly building friendship, creating usual projects that could be helpful to the family, and having open conversations about the things that are hard, especially around raising a family in the foreground of addiction and incarceration. Projects and activities can include many things including creating take-home meals for families to enjoy later, facials, massages, special guests, in-house fun nights, or going out for a fun parents' night out.

Family Retreat Volunteers
Host Mom and Dads
Family Retreats are divided up into two components. First is a mini-camp program for the kids similar to My Camp’s summer program. The second is to the Parents, Grandparents, and Guardians who lead the family. Host Moms and Host Dads work with the Retreat Leaders and create a comfortable environment where our parents can rest, get refreshed, have fun, and build a community. Family Retreats have several workshop-style sessions following rest periods dedicated to fun activities. Host Mom and Host Dad help with the planning activities ahead of the retreat, build relationships with guest parents, and offer emotional and spiritual support as needed.
Counselors
Similar to the Summer Camp program, Counselors make up all the difference in the experience of a camper. The role of our counselors is one of the most important jobs to do at camp. Counselors work in teams of 2-3 to help guide their campers through the camping program, with 1 Head Counselor with 1-2 Assistant Counselors per team of 6-8 campers. My Camp Counselors are not just babysitters, they mentor and develop relationships that could last for years. Counselors are requested to take part in a Thursday night training and planning session, before the retreat starting Friday evening and ending Sunday afternoon.
Kitchen Support
Supported by an individual or by community groups, Kitchen Staff help prep and serve meals for campers, their guardians, and volunteer staff. This includes two breakfast meals, two lunches, and one dinner with snacks as needed. The estimated guest count is around 60 people.
